• The AB, DL, and IC community once united around ADISC as the bedrock of our community but, sadly, that memorable forum is no more. SPANDI was born from its ashes: a community project by the community, for the community, created to give us a place to hang out, find friendship, get support and learn to love ourselves.

You need to sign up for an account before you can see our forum content. Come join us - our community will be richer with you.

  1. Diaper Lover
The term IC, short for Incontinent, is often used in forums and communities where people discuss diapers, support needs, daily management, and related experiences. In spaces that also include AB (Adult Baby) and DL (Diaper Lover) members, the term IC helps distinguish people who are dealing with medical or functional incontinence from those who are there for identity, comfort, or lifestyle reasons.

Incontinence can affect adults for many different reasons. Some people live with long-term medical conditions. Others experience bladder or bowel control issues because of age, disability, injury, surgery, neurological conditions, childbirth, or other health-related factors. For many, it is not just a practical issue but also an emotional one, because incontinence can affect confidence, routines, relationships, and quality of life.

That is why an IC-friendly forum matters. People who are incontinent often need a place to talk honestly about everyday concerns without embarrassment or judgment. Those concerns may include product choices, skin care, nighttime protection, travel, work, managing leaks, talking to family members, or simply coping with the stress of needing protection. A private community can make those discussions much easier.

One important point is that IC is not the same as AB or DL. In general, IC refers to people dealing with incontinence as a medical, physical, or daily living issue. AB usually refers to adult baby identity, regression, or baby-themed comfort, while DL usually refers to a personal interest in diapers themselves. In some communities these topics exist side by side, but they are not interchangeable.

At the same time, there can be overlap in practical discussions. Someone who is IC may want advice on absorbent products, discretion, odor control, bedding protection, or day-to-day management. Those same products may also be discussed by AB or DL members for different reasons. A strong forum recognizes that shared products do not always mean shared experiences. That distinction matters, and pretending otherwise is how nuance gets tossed into a wood chipper.

For many incontinent adults, finding reliable information and respectful support is a major challenge. Public discussion about adult incontinence is still limited, and stigma is common. People may feel isolated or worry that others will not understand. A dedicated IC community can help reduce that isolation by providing practical advice, emotional support, and a sense that members are not facing these issues alone.

Common topics in the IC community include:
• what IC means in diaper and support forums
• adult incontinence support
• bladder and bowel management
• protective products and absorbency needs
• skin care and hygiene
• nighttime protection
• discretion at work or while traveling
• relationships, confidence, and self-acceptance
• differences between IC, AB, and DL

An inclusive forum should make room for incontinent members without forcing them into labels that do not fit. Some people are there because they need practical help. Some are looking for understanding and emotional support. Some want both. A respectful community gives space for medical realities, personal dignity, and honest discussion.

If you are IC, caring for someone who is incontinent, or looking for information about how IC fits within a broader ABDL or diaper-related community, this section is here to support open and respectful conversation. People’s situations are different, but nobody should have to navigate incontinence feeling completely alone.
